This is just a quick note that the Beyond the Ivory Tower writing workshops on public-facing academic work have opened applications for their next workshop this March. I participated in one of the Workshops this past September and recommend it very highly!
Here's more from the email they sent out:
Our next workshop will be held March 10th and 11th, 2023, and will be open to applicants who apply by December 1st. Apply here.
It will be taught by James Ryerson, a senior opinion editor at the New York Times.
Selected attendees will receive two days of training and a $2,000 stipend to offset travel and lodging costs, as well as ongoing access to our alumni community and support network through 2026. You'll leave with a carefully workshopped "ideas" piece, ripe for pitching.
You can find more information here. You can learn more about our work by watching these masterclass videos and checking out this podcast about popular writing.
