Is there any conventional wisdom about where on a CV to list summer schools one participated in and/or presented at?
I'm not sure: maybe under "presentations" or "awards" (if e.g. the summer school had a competitive application procedure). What do you all think?
I'd put it under "Professional Development".

'Professional Development' is good.
I've got a spot titled something like 'Workshops and Reading Groups' (which obviously one could change as appropriate.) This is where I put things that are not quite presentations or conferences, such as NEH seminars.
