The Eastern Society for Women in Philosophy (E-SWIP) is now accepting nominations for the 2021 Distinguished Woman Philosopher Award. The Award has historically recognized outstanding accomplishment by women philosophers in a wide range of philosophical subfields, including metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, philosophy of mind, philosophy of language, social and political philosophy, and philosophy of science. We have also recognized the efforts of women philosophers to support other women in the field, through teaching, mentoring, or other means.
Nominations should include at least two letters of recommendation describing (a) the candidate’s contributions to the field of philosophy and (b) the candidate’s work supporting women in philosophy. Please send all nomination materials to [email protected] . Nominations are due by August 1, 2021 and the winner will be announced in October 2021.
