This is purely speculation based on doing some looking around, but it looks like Columbia GSAS might be suspending its entire admissions for the season. English, History, Poli Sci, Sociology and Math have all publicly recently suspended their admissions. RIP.

2020 Applicant

Phdrip was correct in their speculation. Columbia's PhD is the second philosophy program to formally shut their doors this cycle.

I was told that many departments will be having their first meetings in the next few weeks, so hopefully by October there will be a clearer understanding of how widespread a phenomenon this will be.
