There is a great new series, "If I Only Knew Then...Tenured Scholars on Professionalization", over at Religion Bulletin that I very much encourage everyone to check out. Although it is not a philosophy blog, the three posts up so far in the series are very informative, touching upon concerns often raised philosophy blogs about the job-market, academia in general, etc. The three posts up so far are:
- Nicola Denzey Lewis on advice for junior women scholars.
- Stephen C. Berkwitz on what it is like to transition from an early- to mid-career academic.
- Mark Hulsether on the job market, changing priorities in academia, and whether he would "do it all again."
Given that the series just kicked off in January, I suspect it will be a great series to follow in weeks to come!
