It's my pleasure to introduce the Cocoon's newest Featured Early-Career Author, Carlo Ierna (Postdoctoral Reseacher, Utecht). Carlo received his PhD in Philosophy from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in 2009, was Visiting Fellow in Philosophy at Harvard in Spring 2014, and his research concerns 'the renewal of the ideal of “Philosophy as Science” in the School of Brentano.'
Carlo also has 31 (!) publications, including:
Carlo Ierna (2012). Brentano and the Theory of Signs. Paradigmi 2.
Although I suspect many of our readers may be unfamiliar with Carlo's area of research (I humbly confess that I don't know all that much about Brentano, Husserl, etc. myself!), one of the things that excites me most about our Featured Early-Career Author series is the diversity of the backgrounds and interests of the contributors we've had so far. I, for one, can't wait to learn more about Brentano and Husserl from an expert, so please join me in welcoming Carlo!
